When was the last time you tried something for the first time ?
I have been thinking of a consistent theme to blog about. Something that can be pursued, and at the same time, keep me interested. The life routine gets harsher, and it makes you think, “When was the last time you tried something for the first time?” I have a set of interests that I’m glued to, but what still keeps missing is the freshness.
Cognitive science correlates new activities with personal growth, ones that shake you out of your comfort zone. A quick analogy, if you follow some science around fitness, it is recommended to try out new strengthening routines to maximize your results. The same holds for new experiences.
I wouldn’t prefer trying out something very random. Keeping the interest glued is the key to sustaining the effort. So aligning and venturing out more on your spheres of interest could be more realistic. I have a long-running interest in photography (more so videography lately), and a few other forms of crafts and design. I am also into sports and fitness (at a sustained moderate level), anything that helps sweat it out.
The idea was simple, pick a personal task form at intervals. Something relatable, but at the same time, something I may have never tried before (or at least too often). There is no elaborate bucket list, so I will keep pricking my brain and get something rolling. Maintaining a journal of those gives a parallel incentive.
